Be careful when removing these items to avoid losing your devices.<\/li><li><strong>Have spare batteries on hand.<\/strong> There\u2019s nothing worse than running out of battery when you need it most. Since cold weather can sap your hearing aid batteries faster, we recommend keeping spares with you at all times.<\/li><li><strong>Store your hearing aids somewhere safe when participating in winter activities.<\/strong> Whether it\u2019s skiing, snowboarding or a snowball fight at <a href=\"https:\/\/www.crystalmountainresort.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Crystal Mountain Resort<\/a><\/li><li>, consider putting your hearing aids somewhere safe to you don\u2019t damage or lose them.<\/li><li><strong>Let your hearing aids air out.<\/strong> After spending time outdoors, you should open the battery doors of your hearing aids to allow moisture to evaporate.<\/li><li><strong>Purchase a dehumidifier. <\/strong>If your devices do get wet, store them in a dehumidifier to dry them out safely.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">The Don\u2019ts<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>It\u2019s just as important to know what not to do with <a href=\"https:\/\/hearingadvancement.com\/hearing-aids-overview\/benefits-of-hearing-aids\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">your hearing aids<\/a> as it is to know what you should do. Follow our list of what to avoid below:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul><li><strong>Don\u2019t store your devices, batteries or chargers in the car. <\/strong>Cold weather can sap battery power and leave you stranded.<\/li><li><strong>Don\u2019t put your hearing aids in a heated drying system.<\/strong> <a href=\"https:\/\/hearingreview.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/04\/Agnew_TempRHinITEs_Aug1999HR.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Heat can be extremely damaging<\/a> to your devices.<\/li><li><strong>Don\u2019t forget to keep up on your cleaning routine. <\/strong>As the days grow short, it can be difficult to stick to your regular routine. Even so, you should take care to continue cleaning your devices daily.<\/li><li><strong>Don\u2019t worry too much about the cold weather.<\/strong> While cold weather can affect your batteries, it shouldn\u2019t damage your devices.
